Floward announces charity partnership with The Pink Ribbon Foundation

Premium flower and gifting company, Floward, has partnered with The Pink Ribbon Foundation to provide support to UK charities, which help to relieve those who have been affected by breast cancer.

The collaboration will see 10% of all proceeds taken from their dedicated “Pink Ribbon” bouquet go to The Pink Ribbon Foundation, which supports a variety of different charities including Cancer Research UK, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Cancer Recovery, St Clare’s Hospice and many more.

The dedicated Pink Ribbon Bouquet (RRP: £67) provides a beautiful twist on a classic. The bouquet features delicate, pink-edged roses, which are the perfect way to show someone how much you care. Delivered in a hat box-inspired cylinder, they are ideal to display on your coffee table or the office desk as they require no additional water.

Every year nearly 55,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK, that’s the equivalent of one person every 10 minutes. Breast cancer is the second most common cause of death from cancer in women in the UK, with around 11,500 people dying from breast cancer every year. Breast cancer also affects men, but it’s rare – around 370 men are diagnosed each year. 1 in 8 women in the UK will develop the disease in her lifetime.

Since launching in 2017, Floward has always been passionate about its social responsibility as a business. In the UK they previously dedicated 1% of its annual sales in 2021 to the Mental Health Foundation as well as supporting other various CSR initiatives and organisations. Floward is looking forward to continuing its CSR initiatives with The Pink Ribbon Foundation to help support such an important cause.

Abdulaziz B. Al Loughani, CEO and Chairman of Floward comments:  “We are thrilled to be partnering with The Pink Ribbon Foundation since they support a wide range of breast cancer-related charities, both large and small. The Pink Ribbon Foundation is an excellent method for us at Floward to assist as many organisations as possible that help those afflicted by the disease. At Floward, we have always been committed to taking part in activities that benefit our communities and are always keen to play an active role and not just be a bystander.”

Lisa Allen, Head of Corporate Partnerships at The Pink Ribbon Foundation added: Partnering with Floward and creating a dedicated Pink Ribbon Foundation bouquet has been an honour. As a foundation we rely heavily on fundraising support from the public, it is fantastic to receive support from Floward so that we are able to continue to help charities with the money raised from this partnership.”

Established in 2017, Floward is a full-fledged e-commerce solution that offers prime fresh-cut flowers sourced from the best growers and farmers around the world and arranged locally by a team of florists, and designers. The Pink Ribbon Foundation is a grant-making trust with a mission to fund projects and provide financial support to UK charities that relieve the needs of people who are suffering from, have been affected by breast cancer, or who work to advance the understanding of breast cancer and its early detection and treatment. There are a large number of such charities in the UK, each as deserving as the next. Many of the charities supported are the smaller ones, which operate on a shoestring.
